No. The travel rail is attached to the outer or inner edge of the stairs. It does not matter which material the staircase is made of. Even doors or passages adjoining the staircase are no problem. We simply use a fold-up section of rail at these points. One of our customer advisers would be happy to provide you with more details.
A straight stairlift is available very quickly from stock. Curved systems are manufactured individually to match your staircase, and so the delivery time is about four weeks.
It only takes a few hours to install a straight stairlift system. To install a curved system, depending on its complexity, takes about two days.
A wide choice of colours for the seat covers and rails are available to integrate the stairlift harmoniously into your living environment. The cushions are made of high-quality material and are easy to clean - they still look like new even after many years of service. Take a look at the colour samples for the upholstery on the information pages for each chair stairlift.
Generally speaking, the purchase of a stairlift has to be financed by "the private individual". If a stairlift is needed as a result of an accident, there is a good chance of being reimbursed by the General Accident Insurance Institute. In the case of war and military service injuries, the cost of a stairlift may also be partially or fully financed.
